Summer Time

posted Jun 30, 2013, 7:27 PM by Lorrie Slaymaker
It's here, the sounds of the cicadas, the flash of the lightning bugs, the chirp of the crickets, the warm sultry days and the nights with a breath of cool air, its summer.  St Matthew's summer are great with the adventure of travel to summer camp for the youth at Camp Mitchell, and the rest of us hold down the fort with lemonade and sweets on the church lawn after Sunday worship.  During the week folks are out mowing the lawn, working the landscaping, volunteering at Habitat for Humanity Apostle's build (see photo), the adult Sunday School continues to meet and best of all we get lots of visitors to the church to welcome on Sunday morning.  It is a great time to make new friends, talk about a good summer book, and enjoy the creation.  What a blessing to share with all of God's people.
