Holy Week at St Matthew's

Palm Sunday
Palm Sunday starts our Holy Week observance with worship at 8:30 and 11:00 AM.  We begin our worship outdoors on the step of our church, blessing the Palms we will be bringing into worship.  It is a splendid way to recall Jesus entry to Jerusalem, as a prince of peace, riding upon a donkey.  The joy of the worship changes however as we read the passion narrative from the Gospel of Mark, and listen again to the story of Jesus Crucifixion, thus Holy Week begins.  We follow Palm Sunday with Maundy Thursday service at 6:30 PM and Good Friday at 6:30 PM.  Come to observe, come to learn, come to worship, as Holy Week holds our focus on God's love and sacrifice within time, within our reach.
